High Temperature Plug Heaters
High temperature plug heaters are used for high temperature controlled heating of forced air circulation systems for annealing and tempering furnaces, heating ducts and other industrial heating equipment including baking and drying ovens.
TRENT high temperature plug heaters are compact, pre-packaged units that install quickly and have a long life with a maximum operating frame temperature of 1350°F / 732°C or furnace operating applications as high as 1200°F / 649°C. Multiple banks of TRENT Folded and Formed® heater racks are assembled, wired and mounted in a self contained plug, complete with an insulated top plug with a gasketed, steel flange, 4½” of insulation, handles for easy lifting and terminal box with leads mounted for electrical connections, all drilled and ready for quick installation.
The heater racks consist of a fabricated stainless steel support frame with pre-formed metal channels into which high-grade, refractory, porcelain retainers are inserted to support one to four levels of three-tier high TRENT F&F® heating elements. The unique F&F® heating elements ensure faster heat-up, faster cool-down and more efficient use of heat to prolong the heater life. There are no screws or mechanical fasteners used in the rack frame construction. The internal connections are all welded. The anchor and terminal sections are welded to ensure continuous non-arching, electrical resistance path from terminal to terminal.
TRENT F&F® electric heating elements are rugged and provide long life at high wattages and temperatures, if proper air velocity is maintained parallel to the long dimension. This means more heat, faster and with less energy expended, and faster cooling to prolong element life. These benefits, coupled with the ease of installation, make TRENT high temperature plug heaters as economical as they are efficient.
Standard parts with little or no maintenance required, Multiple banks of TRENT Folded and Formed® heater racks wired and mounted on a horizontal plane to the flange, in a self-contained plug, complete with terminal box with leads for electrical connections , Insulated plug top with handles, flange and gasket, pre-drilled for mounting.
